Comments: I use my computer everyday for research movie,today news, music, pictures, E-mail, web-searching. LOVE IT !!!!!!!!! Window 7 very easy to learn and user frendly. Can not find anything wrong with the computer. Has the side number pad, Attractive Design, Very User Frendly PC. Inturnal mouse is great but I use an external mouse I am more comfortable using it. Just Love the 4GB, GB Hard Drive 320 is Great!!!!!
Extra Feature: On the Left side bottom are your lights to let you know; Ac Power, ON/OFF,
Battery Light ( PC Health Monitor) You can control the fan speed that cools the computer, Storage Drive Memory card light, Wireless indicator light, That the more expensive model have.
Volume: Went on Toshiba Web Site (Low Volume) their is a a way to correct the problem. Change to the Game mode Volume, Now the volume is lots louder!!!!
I would suggest when buying an computer go to Staples or any Tech. Have them Back the Unit Up w/your memory disk and let them load up any software disk, Any problem, they will back the unit. (Their are coupon with all kinds of percent discount)
that can be used to help pay for this service !!!

 SAFETY CONCERNS - Poor power adapter, poor customer serviceDec 19, 2010

While this laptop is really nice, I had a problem with the power cord getting VERY hot after just an hour of use when the laptop was three months old. It would also start to smell.
I contacted Toshiba, who at first did nothing, and then sent me the wrong part to replace it. On the third try they sent me the right part, however the problem continued.
This is definitely a hardware issue and not the adapter. I then learned they had a recall on the previous years model, but this year's was not covered even though the symptoms are similar.
The main issues:
The plug expands because it heats so much (causing a distinct burning odor and burn marks on the laptop), so it will not fit into the port and therefore not charge.
If you charge it while in sleep mode, it will charge without burning, but since it is only recognized by the battery once in a while you never know if it is charging or not.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, POTENTIAL BURN HAZARD - SHOP ANOTHER BRAND

This is a good laptop at a good price. Purchased it for my daughter to replace her old HP. Has built in CD/DVD writer, wireless, web cam. Theres only one thing that I think Toshiba missed the boat on: Bluetooth. This laptop would have been great if it came with Bluetooth. It should be a standard feature.
I still would recommend this laptop, you just needs to buy a bluetooth adapter. Not a big deal, but you do loose a USB port...sigh.

This is my first laptop, and I chose it after much deliberating for 500$. Everything about it was a steal. The only complaint I've had is that the fan turns on quite often, but for this price range, I didn't expect anything else. Besides that, no complaints and a great buy.

I bought this laptop in August 2010. The hard drive crashed a little over a year later. Now just this week, the motherboard fried and I've decided to just replace this unreliable computer.
Overall, it was an OK middle of the road laptop. The speakers were not very loud, the system took a long time to load up, and the computer got very hot very quick. Not to mention I hard to replace the battery just a few months ago. What a waste!
I regret going with this pick.
