Let's face it. When a product launches with not only spare parts inventories, but specialized tools that are helpful, if not necessary, to do the repairs, you KNOW you're going to be spending time with the product on the workbench.
The Parrot AR.Drone is one of those products, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The design of the 'Drone is remarkable, and the tool kit is, too. I've spent quite a bit of time replacing rotor shafts, motors and gears, and would NOT want to do it without the Parrot AR.Drone Repair Tools kit. Well priced, and a MUST for any 'Drone owner.

Got these tools for my AR Drone, and work very well indeed, this is really a must purchase if you own an AR Drone, and designed for the job.
The tools also come in a nice small plastic case, so keeps it altogether.

These tools work well enough. And if you fly a Drone, you will need them (at least the circlip tool). Most people have a phillips head screwdriver around though, and the Torx screwdriver will be less used (I haven't had to replace my main board or navigation board).
Basically, all I have used out of this kit is the circlip tool. The drive pins for the Drone's motors are very bendable, and I have replaced all of mine. This just requires the use of the circlip tool. Since this is something most every drone user will have to do, they should have just included this tool with the drone and had you buy the Torx screwdriver separately (or better yet not use Torx screws).
Bottom line: These tools work, and you will need the circlip tool. A bit pricey for one tool that should have been included, but it is very nice you can repair your own drone. You may be able to get the circlips off without the tool, but it probably isn't worth the hassle since you will be doing it more than once.

You're going to have to replace parts on your drone at some point. If just to do maintenance. (Google dronescapes for a nice set of maintenance instructions)
I have lots of tools, so is it really necessary to get this tool set?
The little screwdriver really isn't that important, but the pin clip remover is a must have. Even with it its a bit of a task to get the little clips off the top of the blades.
Ive used this set to replace a gear a blade and a motor, and they definitely do the job.
