Buy this is you value looks more than soundOct 20, 2011

These speakers are great. However if you are after the best sound for your your money then you have less expensive options. Don't get me wrong they sound great but my Polk Monitor 70s that they replaced sounded just as good for half the price and with better lows. I bought these because my previous speakers were big, bulky, and didn't go with the wall mounted flat LED TV. These speakers have a very crisp highs and smooth mids but severely lacking any lows. You will need a good sub to complete a good sound for your system. They are well crafted, sleek and beautiful. They come with rubber or spiked feet for your floor on carpet. The glass base is great and give the slender speaker a great "tip-over free" platform. They look sexy with or without the magnetic mesh grill installed. For the price there is no better looking pair of speakers with this great quality of sound.

Mirage all the way!Jun 20, 2010
By Stanley B. Dow I purchased a pair of these on closeout for less than the price of one. They disappear in the room, something audiophiles look for in speakers. I have a eight small omnisats for the surrounds to run height and width channels and it sounds excellent. These are some of the best I've purchased with the exception of my Carver ALIIIplus which are fantastic. Even at this price they are worth the money. They do need a good sub (I have the Prestige Eight but recently purchased the Velodyne DEQ 15r). UPDATE!! (12/25/11) The Os3-Fs are still sounding great. I use an Emotiva XPA-5 with and Onkyo (for a preamp) and they never cease to amaze me. They are still in pristine condition despite constant use. Buy these and you won't regret it.

Mirage Os3-FsMay 14, 2010
By Tim Finally got these yesterday after a few weeks wait. Took a few minutes to get the settings dialed in with my Denon, but after that WOW! Excellent match with my Os3 Sats and Center. In the past I've tried Sony's, Polk, etc but it never did the trick. My living room is a rectangular shape with a pit group along a wall so I don't really have that much play with speaker placement. The Mirage FS did the trick and rounded out my system. Using a 7.0 setting on the Denon the whole room fills with balanced sound whether I'm listening to music or TV. Switched to Dolby PLIIxC and they fire out perfectly with surround that I did not have when other speakers were on my system.
Pros-Crisp sound, small footprint, nice glass base with carpet spikes, grills snap into place via magnetic dots and they look, well...cool. Cons-Hard to move around as the gloss plastic is hard to get your hands around, took a few tries with placement before I got the sound to my liking.

By TRT The speakers are what I expected. I have an ear for sound and these speakers were much better than any off the shelf or Bose product within my budget. It was worth the investment.
