Classic looks, light and Solar powered time keeper!Jan 06, 2007
By Thomas M. Miner

I had one of these 2 years ago - it suddenly disappeared. That watch had a deep blue face - very nice looking - VERY dificult to read! Why? The shimmer of the glass face with the dark background prohibited easy reading of the watch hands and the numerals.
This white faced beauty is perfect! Light on the wrist, and if you do a lot of computer work - it is sooooo thin that you can bear up to wear it all day while at your desk using the keyboard! Larger thicker bands and watches will normally cause discomfort while doing this kind of work due to the rubbing against the desk while tapping out on a keyboard!
I hightly recommend this watch for it's classic appeal, great time keeping - and it's environmental friendly solar recharging. This is my 5th Citizens watch! And I love this one the most!

Fits my wrist, light and comfortable, and looks like ....Nov 02, 2010
By Le Roi Soleil Finding a watch that fits me is difficult, as I have very small wrists. Little above the knobby wrist bone, at the smallest point, the circumference of the left wrist is 15.8 cm (6 1/4 inches), though I am male, 1.82 m (6ft) and athletic.
This watch works fairly well because it is very thin. Light, and comfortable to wear. Adequately water resistant, it has survived water & soap while washing hands. Wish the diameter were 34 rather than 35 mm. Don't trust the photograph. The watch diameter is 35 mm, as stated in the specification. The distance between the wing-tips (where the bracelet attaches) is 40 mm. Had to remove six links, four from the 6 o'clock side and two from the other. Had a real watch maker (he repairs mechanical watches and build parts in his workshop) alter the bracelet. He said that the capacitor would need replacement in solar powered watches. Hope he is wrong, but afraid he might be correct.
When I ordered the watch, I was afraid the gold tone would be gaudy. Not so. Very nicely understated. White dial with black hands, and sapphire crystal that is, well, clear as crystal. Classy? Almost..... The case and wing-tips are shiny chrome. From the photographs, I expected brushed steel. All class lost in the shine. But it fits, is an Eco Drive and it is very difficult to find another watch for my small wrist. It's a keeper. For me.
*** Update after a couple of weeks of wear (and tear) *** I wear the watch on my left wrist and operate a mouse with my left hand. The watch bracelet has 10+ scuff marks near the clasp, visible and rough to touch. Noticed the bracelet is "Made in China", though the movement is supposed to be Japanese. My previous watch (100% Made in India) carried a hard transparent coating on the bracelet, and I did not see scuff marks even after 5 years. Noticed wear in a few spots after 10 years, but they were smooth to the touch.

The best watch I've ownedApr 07, 2010
By Sunquark I wanted a simple, elegant watch with no battery change worries and no date change issues. This watch meets all my expectations and more. The two tone band looks great, very classy. The white dial with black roman numerals is simple yet elegant. I have got many compliments on how beautiful this watch looks. Also, this watch is super slim. I removed 2 links using a 1mm screw driver to adjust the length of the band. This was easy to do and can be done at home. I've had this watch now for close to 6 months and it keeps very accurate time. Love the solar functionality and will definitely consider buying another eco-drive in the future.

Special GiftOct 08, 2010

I got this for my husband as a wedding gift and even though it was too big to start, he wore it all over. Though he's a project manager for a construction company, he loves getting dressed up, and wanted a new watch to wear when he did so. (Checking a cell phone for the time, is so last season.) I think the styling of this watch is very classic, and timeless, it will always be "in style." I also love the fact - as does my husband - that it will never need a battery. The eco-drive functionality is amazing, everyone should start using it, because replacing a watch battery is the WORST. When I took it to a jewelry shop to have it engraved.... the jeweler said, "Ohhh, a Stiletto - NICE watch." It made me feel as if I had chosen well.

Citizen Eco-Drive watchMay 16, 2010
By Axel Kassel Solid, accurate, handsome, and light-powered. The only annoyance is that the Citizen manual doesn't tell you how to adjust the number of links in the band: it takes a 1mm screwdriver (not an item in your Bob the Builder kit, but inexpensively obtainable via Amazon--the Wiha tools from Germany are good in these sizes).
